Muhammet Çay founded EV Model Compare in 2026 and is its editor and publisher. He is the person who answers mail sent to the site, and the person accountable for what it publishes.
What this site covers
EV Model Compare covers electric-car specifications, real-world range, charging time and cost, running-cost comparisons across U.S. states and Europe, and battery chemistry. Each page is built to answer one buying question with the working shown.
What the editor does
The editor decides which vehicles and questions the site covers, sets how every figure is sourced and labelled, and reviews what is published. The comparison tooling, the calculators and the specification database are maintained together, so a number on a page can be traced to a source and the month it was recorded.
How pages are produced
Drafting is assisted by AI tools. Specifications come from public datasets and manufacturer documents, are recorded with their source, and are re-checked against those sources with an automated claims audit. The editor is responsible for everything that is published and for correcting it when it is wrong. See the editorial policy and the methodology for the full rules.
Main data sources
- U.S. EPA (fueleconomy.gov) for range and efficiency ratings of vehicles sold in the United States.
- NHTSA for U.S. crash-test ratings and recall records.
- U.S. Department of Energy, Alternative Fuels Data Center for charging-network data and electricity rates.
- Eurostat and the European Commission Weekly Oil Bulletin for European household electricity and fuel prices.
- Manufacturer documentation for WLTP figures, battery capacity and charging curves, each linked from the page that uses it.
Independence
The site does not sell cars, take manufacturer money or accept payment for placement or a better verdict. Advertising through Google AdSense pays for the site and never determines what a page says about a vehicle.
