Kia

Three Kia models are held in this database, on the same sourced specification set. They are the Kia EV3 Long Range FWD, Kia EV6 84 kWh RWD and Kia EV9 99.8 kWh AWD. Observed real-world range runs from 435 km in the Kia EV9 99.8 kWh AWD to 451 km in the Kia EV6 84 kWh RWD. On the EPA cycle the same cars rate 283 to 321 miles; that figure and the WLTP one are not comparable, which is what EPA against WLTP is about. Real-world efficiency, which is what decides the electricity bill, spans 178 to 221 Wh per km (the full efficiency ranking). Measured 10 to 80 per cent charging takes 17 to 31 minutes (every car ranked on that window). Every figure below names its source and the date it was read; the assumptions behind the cost arithmetic are on the methodology page. The pack architecture is not the same across the range (343 V and 800 V), and only the 800-volt cars gain anything from a 350 kW station. Cells are NMC (what that changes).

At a glance

This archive lists 3 vehicles with published specification data. The shortest and longest sourced ranges are EPA 283 to 321 mi, with each test cycle kept separate. The fastest sourced 10–80% DC charging time is 17 minutes. Usable battery capacities run from 80 to 96 kWh, and the sourced cell chemistries are NMC.
