NMC

Twenty-five cars in this database are built with NMC cells. This page is the index, not the explanation: the chemistry itself is in NMC explained. Observed real-world range runs from 365 km in the Volvo EX30 Single Motor Extended Range to 555 km in the Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD. On the EPA cycle the 24 of them with a US rating rate 261 to 420 miles; that figure and the WLTP one are not comparable, which is what EPA against WLTP is about. Real-world efficiency, which is what decides the electricity bill, spans 142 to 221 Wh per km (the full efficiency ranking). Measured 10 to 80 per cent charging takes 17 to 49 minutes (every car ranked on that window). Every figure below names its source and the date it was read; the assumptions behind the cost arithmetic are on the methodology page.
